My approach
The very first stage of finding the solution was to get in the shoes of a person who faces balance seeking between virtual world and reality on a daily basis. I consider myself to be one of these people as well, yet, I needed to know more about this issue. I wanted to learn from researchers and people who have observed others going through similar problems. So I have read and watched videos to gain some knowledge and to trigger creativity. All the inspiration can be found in Resources tab.
Gaining some knowledge has been an important part of utilising design thinking principles, being concrete, What is? through which I got myself to the What if?/What wows? stage which are about idea creation.
In addition, design thinking is all about idea valuation. The best way to have a good idea is to have lots of ideas (Linus Pauling). And this quote has been a driving force for me not being limited by inbox thinking and status quo. In the end of a day, it' s the target group who make a decision what really works.
Have a nice time going through the content of this solution.
